Although genetic factors and age are associated with hair loss, there are technologies that help the restoration of the hair follicle, as long as there is an active follicle, and in most cases inhibit the hair loss by weakening or stress.
New European System of Resistive and Capacitive Hyperthermia
Laser Skin Clinic, at the forefront of technology, has brought to its clinics a new technology for hair loss and alopecia with amazing results; it is the method known as hyperthermia, which has been widely used in Europe and with great success. Hyperthermia is an increase in body temperature through the conversion of electrical energy to heat tissue. This is an effect similar to that occurring with fever.
The hair falls out because of three main reasons:
- Fat excess
- Lack of fat and
- Lack of blood’s supply.
Hyperthermia is suitable to combat these three factors.
The equipment is made up of a mono polar radiofrequency that uses the method by applying energy through a capacitive system; which consists of applying a coated electrode to the respective area which stimulates blood circulation. It is completely painless and has no contraindications.
The treatment involves the application of capacitive electrode for 6 sessions from 10 to 12 minutes, in the respective area; it is observed after two weeks a strengthening of the hair and the regrowth of new hair follicles in those active. Once the checkout of its effectiveness over the active follicles, it is recommended a package of sessions according to the severity of the problem. If hair follicles are not active for a long time, the treatment of these will not be effective, though it is preventive in those active.
The results are surprising in cases of thinning hair and when there are active follicles. No graft surgery is needed as it is expensive and slow but without disability or pain.
